We Have William Arthur!

I am SUPER excited to announce that Hayden Avery now carries William Arthur!  We have their personalized albums - wedding vol. I, wedding vol. II, stationery, business, social occasions and baby.  In addition, we have a wide variety of their boxed goods.

William Arthur has been creating fine custom social stationery and invitations for over 60 years.  Their card stock is milled in the United States and is 100% acid free.  They offer flat printing, digital printing, thermography, engraving and letterpress printing options.  They are a fine company and we are thrilled to have them at Hayden Avery.  Even if you are not in the market for any stationery or invitations, you ought to stop by and take a look!

Wedding Invitation Impact

When our mother's got married there was really only one kind of wedding invitation.  It was Crane & Co. (as they happen to be the oldest stationery company in the United States) and was usually white or ecru card stock with black ink.  Now the sky is the limit for wedding invitations.  There are so many companies, designers, printing processes, ink colors and looks.  Most brides that have come in recently want something "different" and "whimsical".  Don't get me wrong - I love helping to design fun wedding invitations.  However, I think that a really traditional wedding invitation makes such an impact now that there are so many options.  I was so happy to see this wedding invitation (which I'm sure is a Crane & Co. invitation) on Style Me Pretty today.  The whole wedding appears to be lovely as well.

Valentine's Recap

I know Valentine's Day has passed.  However, I thought I would share a couple of Valentine's we received from some of our sweet vendors.  The above Valentine is from Dauphine Press and it is both letterpressed and foil stamped and a die cut - So cute!  They were also super smart and listed the ink colors, fonts and borders on the back of the card.  Thank you
Dauphine Press for thinking of us!

Then, always a favorite around Hayden Avery - we received a precious Valentine Card from Mr. Boddington's Studio.  They also always send their Valentine's with the most precious
calligraphy on the envelope.

Then, I can't leave out that Caroline (one of our dear Hayden Avery associates) brought all of us home made snickers bars and Kate brought cupcakes.  These girls can bake!!!  All-in-all it was a good Valentine's day!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Happy Valentine's Day!
This is a Valentine that I designed for one of my
cute little neighbors who is an Alabama fan.
Valentine's day at school was one of my favorite holidays.  Not surprisingly I LOVED decorating my bag to collect Valentines and "designing" my actual Valentines to hand out.
I hope you all have a great day!

TGIF

I thought for today's blog I'd stick with our Valentine theme and show you a couple of the new boxed Crane & Co. stationery sets that would be perfect to send love notes on for Valentines.  The top has a light pink scalloped card and the hibiscus envelope.  The second is a white card with large scallops on the bottom with the hibiscus envelope, which is lined in a gold and white micro-stripe.  Both are SO cute.

Well, I hope you all have a wonderfully relaxing weekend!  Not only is it Friday, but I'm actually not working tomorrow either!  What a treat (Thanks Caroline!).

Valentine's is Around the Corner...

We have so many fun Valentine's cards in the store right now (like the awesome letterpressed one above by Snow & Graham).  We also have some great stationery sets and goodies.  So, come this weekend and get Valentine's for the ones you love!

TGIF

Let's be honest - I don't so much care about the actual game.  The only player that I know that is playing this weekend is Eli Manning, and that's because he's from New Orleans.  However, I love a good Super Bowl party, the commercials and Madonna.
So all-in-all it should be entertaining.

Hope you all have a wonderfully relaxing weekend!

Personalized Little English Bags

A few weeks ago I posted pictures of the new Little English bags we'd gotten in the store (click HERE to see).  I thought I'd show you a couple that we just had personalized for a customer.  Aren't they so cute with a name on them?  It only takes a week for them to get monogrammed.  If you have any baby or little children in your life that you need to get a gift for - this is such a great option.
