Caitlin & Matthew's wedding

Last weekend I was in Midland, Texas for one of the funnest (and finest) weddings I've ever attended.  All details were impecible.  From the save-the-date cards, wedding invitations, bridesmaids luncheon invitation and wedding programs (not to mention flowers, music, bridemaids attire) the West Texas theme was lovingly and thoughtfully carried throughout.  The above cards were part of the welcome packet in the hotel rooms.  The band that kept everything together had the artwork that was used on the return address of the save the date card.  In addition, the backs of each of the cards were printed with the tumbleweed themed artwork.  Perfection!

Congratulations Caitlin and Matthew!  Thank you so much for including me in your very special weekend.

Style Me Pretty - featured bride Paige

Because we work with brides for a somewhat small portion of their engagement we don't always get to see the "finished project".  It is always SO much fun to get to see pictures of the girls we work with looking lovely on their wedding day.  Today on Style Me Pretty one of our brides, Paige, had her wedding featured.  I was giddy to get to see her and her pretty wedding.  She was a very decisive bride and selected a very classic Prentiss Douthit wedding invitation that I really liked.  Congratulations Paige and Elliot!

Dabney Lee Holiday Special

Dabney Lee is running a special on their holiday cards.
They are offering 15% off their holiday cards through September.

Clearly, I love their designs or
I would not have posted so many pictures of  them.
But isn't that why people look at blogs,
to look at fun pictures and get cute ideas?

Dabney Lee has 2 kinds of paper that you can have your photo card printed on - a slick, glossy card stock & a matte card stock.  You also get to select the layout, pattern, fonts & ink colors for your holiday card from their very large selection.

My favorite part is that they print your selected pattern
on the back of the card as well!

TGIF

I am quite pleased it is Friday
(even though I had a short week it didn't really seem short).

I just printed a rehearsal dinner invitation on this
beautiful Mr. Boddington's Studio card stock.
The actual card stock is fabulous and takes the ink so well.
I adore the way it turned out.
I wish it were for my rehearsal dinner...
Much too late for that though (about 4 years too late).

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

Stop & Smell The Roses

Today we got a special treat - Flowers!
Elizabeth Marvin, who recently opened Le Fleur Vintage
on Kerbey Lane, sent the arrangement over
with some of her business cards.
How I love flowers!

If I was better organized I would get flowers weekly for the store.
As you can see Elizabeth sent a pretty fall arrangement.
If you are wondering what the black spot
to the left of the arrangement is...

Turley decided to stop and smell the roses.
That's his little nose in the picture.
I work really hard to restrain myself
from doing postings on Turley -
especially when I am having a hard time thinking of a topic.
But I just couldn't help myself today,
especially since he wanted to help with the photos today.

September Elle Decor

Not surprisingly, I love when I see stationery featured in magazines.  So I adored seeing this spread in September's issue of Elle Decor.  I couldn't agree more with the sentiment "In this age of instant messaging, what's more appreciated than a handwritten note?".

I don't actually have a subscription to Elle Decor (I have to draw a line somewhere), but I picked it up at the airport on my way to Chicago.  Just got back today - hence, the lack of postings.  The weather was beautiful and I had the best time walking and shopping and eating!

On a personal note - Last year I actually selected a Prentiss Douthit Holiday card to send out to friends and family.  I loved it so much I didn't even change the fonts from the sample in the album.

Holiday Specials Begin!

September is the month all the holiday early bird specials begin.  So luckily I should have lots to write about this month.  The first holiday special is from The Paper Menu.  They are doing a "Buy 2, Get 1 Free" on their cute children's t-shirts, calling cards (great for everyday use or for holiday gift tags), note cards and stickers.  This would be great for everyone who has to buy lots of teacher gifts or gifts for friends, nieces, nephews and godchildren. This is a special even I may have to partake in...
