Apparently, calendars are forefront in my head since my last post was about the MomAgenda sale was my last post...
Well, today I thought I would share 2 Graphic Image agendas we just got in. The smaller size (shown in Aqua) is about the size of a check book and the large one is actually a neon pink (but it doesn't look quite as neon in this picture as it does in person). Starting a new calendar always seems hopeful. Starting a new calendar with your initials on the front is even better!
Then we are taking a little Thanksgiving break ourselves so that we can fill up on turkey and other goodies. The store will be closed Thursday through Sunday. We'll then resume our normal business hours on Monday, November 26th.
I just love these plate place cards from Mr. Boddington's Studio. We are an awesome assortment of place cards right now that are sure to be perfect for your Thanksgiving tablescape. In addition to the Mr. Boddington's Studio place cards we also have an array from William Arthur and Crane. It is definitely not too early to start planning. Don't forget personalized cocktail napkins, monogrammed dinner napkins, personalized cups (for football watching), personalized napkins rings and even personalized
place card holders!
The Holiday Shopping Card started today! Always fun to see what our clients select for their holiday cards and even better are their photos. I love getting holiday cards. It is even better to buy your holiday cards and gifts when you're getting 20% off! The American Cancer Society's Holiday Shopping Card runs through November 4th - so come get your holiday shopping done now for a good cause.
The much anticipated American Cancer Society's Holiday Shopping Card is here at last. This is such a wonderful event. The Holiday Shopping Cards are $50 each - all of which goes to the American Cancer Society. Then, oodles of retail stores, dry cleaners, restaurants, etc. offer 20% off to those who purchase the Holiday Shopping Card. It's a win-win! You're donating to a wonderful cause, getting a discount and helping the local economy. You can buy your Holiday Shopping Card now (we have them at the store), but the actual event begins Thursday, October 25th (in less than a week) and runs through Sunday, November 4th. Now is a great time to get all of your holiday shopping done.
Halloween is 2 short weeks away! I can't believe it - I mean, what happened to the summer (oh I had twins and dropped off the face of the earth - that's what happened). Anyhow - here at Hayden Avery we have all you need to have a great Halloween party:
Dear friends of mine got married recently. I was honored and lucky enough to get to help them select their save the date cards and their wedding invitations. They have fabulous style and a great sense of humor. Their save the date cards may be my all time favorite - yes, that is a mullet! I really can't take any credit for the concept - I just did the layout and design.
What brightens a Friday more than an email with LOTS of great pictures from Mr. Boddinton's Studio? Not much.
Mr. Boddington's has created a fabulous line of men's boxed stationery with their ever striking attention to detail and zippy, masculine hand liners. All of these letterpressed stationery options arrive in a linen box to boot!
Who doesn't love free things? Right now when you order 50 or more cards, notes, or letter sheets from William Arthur or Vera Wang, you'll receive an additional 25 for free! That's 25 more letters you can write, 25 more thank you notes you can send, or 25 more people you can impress with your taste in stationery. Offer ends November 17th, so hurry on in!

These quirky cocktail napkins make a perfect gift. Each
napkin comes with an embroidered critter and a tongue-and-cheek quip about
cocktails. Each set of four comes with one of each design. At $25 a set, feel
free to gift with a bottle of your favorite hooch. Or keep the napkins and
bottle for yourself!
Look what just arrived at the store! I am obsessed with these needlepoint baby shoes. They are $55 and come in 0 - 6 month size (4 1/2" sole) and 6 - 12 month size (5" sole). I have given these as gifts in the past and they are always a big hit. There may be a couple of little people in my house that are going to get some of these precious shoes...
A couple of posts ago I showed some samples of the Page Stationery Duet line. This is a new flat printed line from one of my favorite letterpress companies. Good news for those of you who are organized and plan ahead... Page is offering 10% off all Holiday orders until October 15th. So if you have a good family photo from a summer vacation, use it and get your holiday cards done now! The Page Stationery website has a few of the designs, however we have the complete set here in the store. We also have all the patterns for the backs of the cards too (that's right all of these cards have super cute patterns on the backs of the cards).
I am loving the tricycle motif this client selected for a little boy's calling cards! These calling cards are such a precious gift and so affordable. I never tire of our calling cards because there are so many different options for artwork, fonts and ink colors. I have lots of customers who use these are their "standard" baby gift and are able to just call us or shoot us an email to order.
It makes it very easy...
Give us a call or shoot us an email if you would like to order.
One of my favorite letterpress lines that we carry, Page Stationery, just made their flat printing line available for retailers. The designs are the classic and clean Page Stationery designs - just flat printed (which obviously is a little more affordable than their letterpress designs). There are birth announcements, save the date cards, children's stationery, men & women's stationery, party invitations and Christmas cards. All of the cards have fabulous printed designs on the back of the card too.
I tried to make this post earlier in the week - but I've been having problems with blogger and I'm not sure why. Regardless - here I am! Last weekend I went to a wedding in Houston. It was not an over-the-top wedding - it was a simple, classic, understated and happy day for a dear friend. The above invitation from William Arthur is the invitation that my friend selected for her day (sans ribbon). When the invitation arrived in the mail I thought it was the perfect invitation for Helen. My very best to Helen and Tom!
Would it be an understatement to say, long time no see?...
This is what
you've missed - 11 days of hospital bed rest, another week at home, the
arrival of twins, a nicu stay for both and then the adjustment of having
2 babies, no sleep and a business that still needs to be run! I'm
starting to feel like I'm back to the land of the living and I have high
hopes of returning to the blog with great stuff! We're currently
working on some lovely wedding invitations, a wedding program and
MomAgendas are in-stock!
This is the time of year when we start receiving invitations to the National Stationery Show. Yesterday we received William Arthur's invitation and I adore it! Usually the exhibitors send one of their new designs and I am loving William Arthur's die cut envelope flaps. You can really tell in this scanned version, but the invitation is a very light blush color. I love everything about this invitation.
Unfortunately, I will not be attending this years National Stationery Show. It's for a good reason, that I don't believe I brought up before - I'm expecting twins at the end of May/beginning of June (the stationery show is at the end of May). This is also the reason for my inconsistencies in blogging recently. I haven't been "nesting" at home so much as here at the store. Just trying to get everything ready and organized for the girls and my "vacation" from the store this summer. I have picked out a birth announcement - but that's an entirely different story.
I thought I would share a few stationery items we've recently worked on. The hard thing about stationery is that I feel like it never translates well on-line (which is why I can never imagine buying stationery sight unseen on-line). The top correspondence card is for a new baby boy. The middle card is on the prettiest card stock with a deckled edge from France. The bottom calling card is such a sweet new baby gift. Enjoy!
I can't believe Easter has come and gone! Graduation time will be here before you know it. We've been busy here at Hayden Avery working on multiple graduation party invitations! Such an exciting time of year. In addition to graduation party invitations we have some wonderful graduation gift options - personalized stationery, passport covers, photo album and monogrammed travel bags (to name a few). In addition to graduation Mother's Day is also around the corner. So start thinking about what
I was cleaning off my personal computer this last weekend and found this Tiffany & Co. ad that I'd torn out of the newspaper. It still rings true and I try and apply these sentiments to both my personal life and the Hayden Avery business plan. Thought it was a good way to start the week and start April.
I just got an email from Page Stationery announcing a great offer of 15% off of letterpress orders to be applied to quantities of 75 or more! This is a wonderful offer from a company that doesn't often have sales. Page is truly one of my favorite vendors. I love their clean designs and amazing craftsmanship. So if you are in the market for stationery, birth announcements, wedding invitations or anything you would like letterpressed -
