Donovan Designs

One of our favorite vendors for notepads is Donovan Designs.

Today on Donovan Designs' Blog Hayden Avery was featured! 

I figured I'd continue the love and

post just a few of my favorites of theirs. 



Their notepads are great and come in a

TON of design options and then 3 different sizes to select from.

So, the reality is there is a size and design

for just about every taste and preference. 

In addition to their regular notepads

they also have homework and chore charts,

baby sitter notes and pet sitter notes. 

They also have an array of Vinyl Labels (ie - water resistant)

that are great for lunch boxes, folders, gift stickers and more.

TGIF

Austin City Limits music festival is this weekend in our fair city. It appears that there will be perfect weather this year (as opposed to the deluge of last year). I unfortunately will not be in attendance as I have to work tomorrow and then have a Junior League volunteer shift on Sunday.  However, I thought that this sunny invitation by Sharp & Sally perfectly represented the music festival - bright & cheery in the fall. 

On another note - many years ago, when I first started in this business, one of my first (best) friends to get married came to me for wedding invitations.  I was so flattered and super excited to be part of the planning process.  Well, today is Will and Lauren's anniversary (sorry I can't remember what year - I'm thinking 6?).  I am just as flattered and excited to be a part of their lives today as I was then.  I guess I should also thank Will for marrying such a great girl who feels like she's been in my life almost as long as Will and treats Will the way that I would want all of my best friends to be treated.  I love you both!

Good Mail Day

I have an idea for a Christmas gift for Dr. Mark - I can't tell you what it is though.  Last week I sent an email to Patricia of PVE Design to see if she could potentially help me out with this "secret" gift idea.  She quickly responded to my email and then I hadn't emailed her back (yet).  Today when the mail came, there was a hand addressed letter to me (in very lovely handwriting).  Everyday at work and at home I pray that I get something better than bills or bank statements - so this literally made me super excited to have something hand addressed.  When I opened the letter is was a lovely hand written note from Patricia on GREAT letterpressed stationery as well as samples of some of Patricia's work.  Everything about this mail made my day (and I even finally responded to her email).

 Patricia,

1.  The samples are lovely and very helpful.

2.  I love when someone has an appreciation for nice stationery.

3.  I love the letterpressed logo all across the flap of the envelope.

4.  I love getting hand written notes.

I am loving these Halloween cocktail napkins

Not surprising since my favorite holiday is Halloween.

We put up our decorations at my house yesterday - so I'm ready

(for "fun sized" candy bars)!
